Residency Program

Accommodations

Artcroft is located on a 400-acre working cattle farm in Nicholas County, Kentucky. The one-story 1840’s Greek Revival farmhouse has four bedrooms with a shared kitchen and bath. We also have two-story 980 square foot studio with a private bedroom and bath. The farm features a 1910 tobacco barn which has been converted into 3,520 square feet of studio space for woodworking, pottery and an exhibition gallery. There are two additional studios of 1,110 square-feet each, currently under construction. Primitive camping is available on the farm.

Artcroft’s rolling landscape has several distinct eco-environments. Walking trails, managed in conjunction with the Department of Forestry, offer enjoyment for residents and invited guests.
